As shore-birds, Herons are associated with the deep peace and tranquility of the water, but also the supernatural liminal space between land and water...femininity, and magic!
Determination, patience, and confidence are qualities we can observe in the Heron as it waits to strike a fish with stunning accuracy. They remind us that when we think clearly, and act in a timely fashion, we too can embody divine grace and beauty.
