Serpentine
Serpentine (Iron Magnesium Nickel Silicate Hydroxide) is a major rock forming mineral and is found as a constituent in many metamorphic and weather igneous rocks. It often colors these rocks green and most rocks that have a green color probably have serpentine in some amount. Serpentine is actually a general name applied to several members of a polymorphic group with essentially the same chemistry but different structures.
Serpentine enhances our sense of security and helps us to establish our boundaries. It promotes a relaxed life by balancing mood swings, and promoting inner peace. It has long been carried for protection from negative energy. Serpentine stimulates an opening in the pathway through which the Kundalini energy may travel, and lessens the discomfort which is sometimes associated with this energy movement. To stimulate the drawing force, place it on your crown chakra. Serpentine is an excellent stone for enhancing the meditative state. Light green serpentine is said to have been one of the stones used in the breastplate of the high priest.
Physically it aids diabetes, hypoglycemia, parasitic infestations, and increases the absorption of calcium and magnesium. With conscious direction, serpentine can assist disorders in all areas of the body, emotional system, and mental structure.
