Rhodonite

Rhodonite, (Manganese Iron Magnesium Calcium Silicate) is named so after the Greek word for rose, rhodon.  It is often streaked with white minerals such as calcite, and sometimes has pyrite inclusions.  During the 18th century it was popular at the Russian court, and was considered the national stone of Russia for many years.  Rhodonite is a stone of grace, elegance, and unconditional love.  It encourages service to mankind, and "brotherhood" energy.  Rhodonite calms anxiety, and stimulates passionate but grounded love.  Use it to calm impatience, and experience your full potential.  Rhodonite stimulates the pineal gland.  Sometimes called the "the singer’s stone," Rhodonite is said to improve sound-sensitivity.

Physically, rhodonite helps emphysema, strep throat, joint inflammation, and arthritis.  It strengthens the heart.

Rhodonite is associated with the heart chakra and brow chakra.
