Chrysoprase

Chrysoprase, a silica mineral, is a gemstone variety of chalcedony (fibrous form of quartz) which is cryptocrystalline (crystals are too small to be seen even by a microscope).  The presence of nickel creates the green color.  The word chrysoprase comes from the Greek  chrysos meaning ‘gold’ and prason, meaning ‘leek’.

Work with chrysoprase to balance yin and yang energies and align the chakras with the ethereal plane.  It activates, opens, and energizes the heart chakra, bringing the necessary energy to your body through the loving energy of the heart.  Chrysoprase stimulates creativity and draws out talents.  This stone encourages ‘brotherhood’ among all, benevolence and goodwill.  It enhances generosity, responsiveness and receptivity.  Chrysoprase instills grace, and facilitates deep meditative states.  It encourages compassion, non-judgmental attitudes, and acceptance of others and self.  Chrysoprase helps you recognize the holy trinity within you, helping you move from states of imperfection into beauty and balance. It facilitates adaptability, and can help heal a broken heart, enabling one to understand their innate growth patterns.  Working with this stone can reduce superiority or inferiority complexes.  It aids speech and presence of mind, and encourages fidelity in business and personal affairs.  It helps prevent you from speaking out unthinkingly in anger, lifts oppressive and recurrent images, preventing nightmares especially in children.  Emotionally, chrysoprase brings a sense of security and trust and is useful in healing co-dependence, supporting independence and yet encouraging commitment.  Chrysoprase is associated with the heart and sacral chakras.

Physically, chrysoprase  helps heart disorders, the assimilation of vit. C, stimulates liver function, increases dexterity, and when consciously directed can stimulate an increase in fertility.  It has a strong detoxifying action and can mobilize heavy metals out of the body.
